Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle needs, and provide expert advice on parts and accessories
- Assist customers in locating the correct parts using inventory management systems and product knowledge
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and ensuring product availability for customers
- Collaborate with the service team to support vehicle maintenance and repair needs through effective parts recommendations
- Maintain organized work areas, ensure cleanliness of the parts counter, and update records using Microsoft Excel or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Engage in upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and effectively
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices
- Proven negotiation skills to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS terminals, and retail math for accurate order fulfillment
- Familiarity with dealership experience, automotive service processes, and marketing strategies is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels, order fulfillment, and maintain a well-organized workspace
- Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills for engaging with clients over the phone or in person
