Summary:
ARC Specialties is a fast-paced, innovative, challenging machine building company located in Houston Texas. We have a need for a skilled CNC machinist at our 13715 FM 529 location in Houston Texas.
We are hiring a machinist for our second shift starting at 12:30pm.
We offer competitive pay based on experience. This is a full-time position, 40-hour work weeks with overtime as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various HAAS CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience operating HAAS CNC machines in a job shop environment
- Knowledge of HAAS controls and programming are required
- Experience on 5-axis HAAS UMC, VF Vertical milling centers, HAAS SL-10 lathes preferred
- Experience with Mitsubishi Mills and FANUC controls helpful
- Must have own tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings
