Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and promote development
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and early learning skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns, fostering positive relationships
- Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, toileting, feeding, and dressing as needed
- Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately
- Participate in ongoing training on first aid, pediatric CPR, special education strategies, and behavior management techniques
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques is highly desirable
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid or related safety training is preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, infant care, toddler care, and classroom supervision enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing needs
- Able to pass background check
