Job Summary
Milea Estate Vineyard is one of the Hudson Valley's premier winery, culinary, and event destinations. We are seeking an experienced Event Captain to lead service for weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, and special experiences.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event planning logistics including timelines, floor plans, and vendor coordination
- Serve as one of the primary on-site points of contact during events.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown including tables, chairs, and decor.
- Assist in managing staff, event flow, and timing to ensure everything stays on schedule
- Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and service staff throughout the event
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues calmly and professionally as they arise
- Provide excellent hospitality experience to guests and clients
- Support post-event wrap up and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, weddings, or catering must
- Must have weekend and holiday availability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a team
- Comfortable standing, walking, and lifting during long event hours
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
