Zimmerman Metals, Inc. is looking for a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and Manual Lathes
- Maintain machine by conducting PM, replacing fluids, and adjusting machine for operations
- Receive and interpret prints for a variety of parts
- Prepare finished parts for shipment
Required Skills and Attributes
- 2-4 years of experience operating a CNC or Manual Lathe
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be self-sufficient with setups
- Ability to read, write and adjust G-Code
- Must have experience working with materials such as low carbon steel, stainless, high carbon, aluminum, etc.
- Must have own tools to perform work duties
- Capable of programming using Mastercam or fusion 360 (preferred but not required)
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
- Frequently required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- The position operates in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- May involve exposure to dust, dirt, and noise from machinery.
