Sign Maker / Installer (Design & Production)
Position Overview
This is not a Graphic Design Position. The Sign Maker / Installer is responsible for creating, fabricating, and installing high-quality signage and graphics projects. This role combines creative design work with hands-on production and installation, with approximately 40% of time dedicated to design and pre-production and 60% dedicated to fabrication, finishing, and installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in both a design environment and field settings.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in sign printing and installation of wraps/graphics required

Proficiency with design software (Adobe Illustrator required; Photoshop a plus)

Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques

Ability to read drawings, layouts, and work orders

- Mechanical aptitude and attention to details
Must be able to pass a drug test
Key Responsibilities
Design & Pre-Production (40%)
Create and prepare artwork for signs, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, and related projects using industry-standard design software

Set up print-ready files, verify dimensions, colors, materials, and installation requirements

Collaborate with sales and project management to ensure designs meet customer expectations and production standards

- Perform file checks, revisions, and approvals before production
Production & Installation (60%)
- Print, laminate, cut, weed, and apply vinyl and digital graphics
Prepare surfaces and install graphics and signage on vehicles, walls, windows, and exterior structures

Safely operate tools, ladders, and shop equipment

Perform installations following safety protocols and quality standards

- Assist with loading, unloading, and job site setup and cleanup
Compensation Structure:
- Base pay $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience and skill level
- Quarterly bonuses based on performance
- Projected pay can range from $60,000 to $72,000
