Iron Forge Brewing Company, located in the Great Smoky Mountains, is seeking an experienced and motivated Host. Iron Forge Brewing Company is a new brewery passionate about creating exceptional beer and food experiences for our guests. Our mission is to provide high-quality, locally sourced food that complements our craft beer. We’re looking for someone with a passion for high quality craft beer, a strong work ethic and a foundation of integrity, honesty and a goal to work as a team. Responsibilities:
In order to be successful as a Host, candidates will have a variety of duties to complete. Their main responsibility will be greeting customers at the door as they arrive, but other duties to note include:
- Let patrons know of wait times and contact them as a table becomes available
- Take reservations over the phone or in-person
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming front-of-house experience
- Seat guests at designated tables
- Answer questions about the food and beverage menu, as needed
- Understand the needs of wait staff to ensure sections are not overcrowded
- Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Work on your feet in a physically demanding environment for up to 8 hours a shift
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb ladder, etc. in an 8-hour day
