Draper Girls Farm and Cider Co. is a third generation farm and cidery located in Parkdale, OR. We are currently looking for individuals to work at our fruit stand.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service to patrons.
- Running a cash register and Square POS system
- Performing opening and closing procedures.
- Serving of and providing our tasting experience to hard cider patrons.
- Stocking shelves and creating displays in fruit stand.
- Sorting fruit daily to ensure quality.
- Helping operate our U-Pick stand and taking patrons out into the orchard.
- Occasionally help with back of house procedures (cider making, farmers market prep, etc.).
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Have had previous retail experience.
- Have the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks.
- Be punctual.
- Have an interest in learning about small sustainable farming practices in Oregon.
- Be comfortable speaking about products to groups of people.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21+
- Must have an OLCC service permit, or be able to obtain one within 1 month of hire.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Not afraid of the cold/heat (position includes working both outside and inside in Oregon).
- Ability to be on your feet for the majority of your shift.
Pay: $17 an hour + Tips with performance raise after 3 months.
