Attorney – Civil Litigation (Remote – Texas)

Silverman Theologou LLP is a multi-state creditors' rights and business law firm with offices in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and California. As we continue to expand our practice and presence in Texas, we are seeking a Texas-licensed Attorney to help develop and support our growing Texas civil litigation practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, collaborative law firm and play an integral role in shaping our Texas practice from the ground up, including developing workflows, procedures, and operational best practices for attorneys and support staff. Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of civil litigation matters throughout Texas.
- Help build and strengthen the Firm's Texas practice by establishing scalable procedures, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and best practices for Texas civil litigation matters.
- Collaborate with Firm leadership to create and refine processes for attorneys and support staff supporting the Texas practice.
- Represent clients in Texas state courts, including hearings, motions, mediations, and other court appearances as necessary.
- Draft, review, and approve pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal filings.
- Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in Texas law and court procedures.
- Analyze legal issues and develop practical litigation strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple office locations.
- Provide practical, business-oriented solutions to legal, procedural, and operational issues as the Firm's Texas practice continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing; admission in additional jurisdictions is a plus.
- Experience in civil litigation preferred.
- Experience in creditors' rights, collections, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or related practice areas is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas court practices preferred.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently from a remote home office while collaborating effectively with a multi-state team.
- Self-starter with an interest in helping build and shape a growing Texas practice, including developing processes and operational efficiencies.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
