About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to run the daily operations of our Cold Stone Creamery / Planet Smoothie location. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can do everything from making ice cream and custom cakes to training staff, managing the shift, and delivering excellent customer service. You should be comfortable working the floor alongside your crew, not just supervising from the back office.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Open and close the store following company checklists and procedures
- Order and manage inventory (ice cream mix, smoothie ingredients, toppings, cups, supplies)
- Monitor food cost, waste, and portion control
- Ensure store meets health department and food safety standards at all times
Product Preparation
- Prepare Cold Stone ice cream bases, mix-ins, and finished products
- Decorate and assemble custom ice cream cakes to order
- Prepare Planet Smoothie smoothies and bowls following exact recipes
- Maintain consistent product quality and presentation
Staff Management & Training
- Hire, train, and schedule crew members
- Train new employees on ice cream mixing techniques, cake decorating, smoothie prep, register use, and customer service standards
- Create weekly staff schedules and cover shifts when needed
- Coach team members on performance, speed, and cleanliness
- Handle conflicts, call-offs, and day-to-day staffing issues
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers, take orders, and resolve complaints professionally
- Ensure the whole team delivers fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Handle special orders (custom cakes, catering, large group orders)
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Enforce and personally perform cleaning duties (equipment, freezers, blenders, counters, floors, bathrooms)
- Ensure the store always looks presentable and inspection-ready
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, ice cream shop, smoothie shop, or restaurant management
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–40 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
