We’re seeking a detail-driven, analytical Project Estimator who can accurately assess project costs, identify risks, and build competitive bids that support profitable growth. This is a critical role partnering with operations, project management, vendors, and customers to help drive strategic project success from preconstruction through handoff.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects

Prepare detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates for commercial mechanical projects

Perform quantity takeoffs and scope analysis for service, retrofit, and construction opportunities

Build accurate and competitive proposals while protecting company profitability

Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
-
Develop strong supplier and GC relationships to support strategic bidding

Analyze material pricing trends and market fluctuations
Risk Management & Project Alignment

Identify project risks, code concerns, budget constraints, and schedule challenges

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams for successful project turnover
-
Participate in bid reviews, negotiations, and handoff meetings
-
Ensure estimates align with applicable codes, specifications, and company standards

Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting deadlines
-
Continuously improve estimating accuracy, process efficiency, and cost competitiveness
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
-
3+ years of mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, plumbing, piping preferred)

Strong blueprint, specification, and technical drawing interpretation skills
-
Proficiency with estimating software such as FastPIPE, Bluebeam, Trimble, QuickPen, Autobid, or similar
-
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, labor productivity, and construction methods

Procore and/or ComputerEase experience
-
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), CCP, or related estimating certifications

Commercial mechanical contracting experience

Mechanical systems knowledge
