Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tables, and kitchen equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring a clean environment for incoming guests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and food items following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Contribute to food service operations by serving dishes, setting tables, and assisting with food presentation as directed by the kitchen or service staff.
- Maintain clear internal communication with team members to coordinate tasks effectively and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support catering events by preparing serving stations, managing food handling procedures, and assisting with setup and breakdown.
- Follow all sanitation protocols and food safety regulations to guarantee a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and food handling procedures within the food industry.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service.
- Experience with table setting, serving, and supporting catering events is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and food safety regulations is a plus.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
