Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Assess resident conditions, monitor changes, and report updates to physicians and interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise and direct LPNs and CNAs; assign duties based on resident needs and staff competencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive resident care
- Participate in care planning, admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure adherence to facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety standards
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory surveys as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local nursing regulations and SNF operations
- Ability to supervise, delegate, and lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations
- This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time / Part-time positions available
- Rotating weekends and holidays may be required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
