Help drive growth by owning the front end of our sales process. We are seeking a Sales Operations and Business Development Coordinator to oversee the administrative execution of our sales process while supporting new business development efforts. This role is responsible for identifying prospective customers, initiating outreach, coordinating quote activity, keeping the pipeline organized, and ensuring opportunities are moved forward in a timely and professional manner.
The right candidate enjoys building structure, maintaining accurate records, and following up consistently until work is closed or clearly resolved. They are also comfortable making the first touch with a prospect—most often by email, but sometimes by phone or other outreach methods. This role is ideal for someone who likes turning activity into results through strong organization, responsiveness, and persistence.

What success looks like in this role
- Inbound and outbound sales opportunities are entered, tracked, and followed up on consistently and on time.
- RFQs are coordinated quickly, information gaps are resolved promptly, and quotes are turned around accurately and professionally.
- Open quotes are actively followed up on so opportunities do not sit idle.
- Sales logs, CRM notes, and pipeline information remain current and useful to leadership.
- New prospects are regularly identified and contacted through thoughtful, professional outreach.
- Customers experience responsive communication and strong coordination throughout the sales cycle.
Primary responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective customers that align with the company’s markets and capabilities, and determine the best points of contact.
- Initiate first-touch outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, referral sources, and other professional prospecting methods as appropriate.
- Conduct discovery conversations and gather information needed to determine fit, timing, and next steps.
- Coordinate RFQ activity, schedule quote-related meetings, and work with internal teams to help ensure quotes are timely, accurate, and clear.
- Maintain the Quote Log, Estimate Log, CRM notes, and related pipeline tracking tools with current information.
- Follow up on open quotes to resolve questions, encourage timely decisions, and improve close rates.
- Perform proactive customer check-ins to support tooling projects, communicate status, and surface issues early.
- Support sales meetings by collecting talking points, preparing agendas or presentations, and coordinating logistics as needed.
- Help manage customer-facing marketing channels such as the company website, email campaigns, and social media as assigned.
- Coordinate sales trip planning, customer visits, and other business development support activities as requested.
Qualifications and background
- 3+ years of experience in sales support, business development coordination, inside sales, customer service, administrative coordination, or a similar hybrid role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage detailed administrative processes while also engaging in proactive outreach and follow-up.
- Strong organizational skills, urgency, and follow-through in a role with many moving parts and deadlines.
- Comfort initiating professional outreach to new prospects by email and phone.
- Experience maintaining CRM notes, quote logs, pipeline trackers, or other sales activity records.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including professional customer-facing email and phone communication.
- Ability to work well with internal teams to gather information, solve problems, and keep work moving.
- Manufacturing, industrial, or injection molding experience is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong transferable experience and interest in learning a technical product environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and business systems such as ERP and CRM tools.
