American Traveler is hiring an LPN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring 2 years of inpatient rehab or med/surg experience and an active GA LPN license.

Inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 58 total beds and a 25-bed unit serving a census of 20–25 patients
-
Patient population includes neuro, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), CVA, aneurysm, post-craniotomy, brain bleeds, and patients with PEG tubes and tracheostomies
-
Patient ratio of 1:5–7 with 1–3 CNAs per shift
-
12-hour day shifts (0700–1900) and night shifts (1900–0700), 36 hours per week
-
6-week schedule cycle with approximately 6 weekend shifts per cycle
-
May float between Rehab Unit 1 and Rehab Unit 2
-
No on-call requirements

EMR: Epic (experience noted); IV pumps: Alaris; medication dispensing: Pyxis; monitors: Philips

Active GA LPN license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab or med/surg experience; inpatient rehab knowledge required

Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required

Proficiency in wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, peripheral IV starts and maintenance, ostomy care, IV antibiotics, PEG tube maintenance, tube feeds, established trach care, and management of braces and splints

Familiarity with bowel and bladder programs

Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Scrub color for LPNs is ceil blue

Support staff includes CNAs, a unit secretary, charge RN, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy (available 24/7), and a hospitalist (on-site days, on-call nights)

Orientation consists of 1 day of general facility orientation with educational modules followed by 2 days of departmental orientation

Holiday coverage required: one shift each of Thanksgiving Day or the day after, December 24 or 25, and December 31 or January 1

RTO requests are subject to manager approval

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Local candidates are accepted — no radius rule applies for GA facilities

Candidates previously employed in a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
