Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team at Greater Good Student Support Services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy sessions to students under the supervision of an SLP.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and activities designed to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and assistive technology to support students with communication impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct screenings and progress monitoring to track students' communication skills and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in speech-language pathology, incorporating new knowledge into practice.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support services.

Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of California.
- Knowledge of communication disorders and therapy techniques commonly used in pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the individual needs of students.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in speech-language pathology.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
