Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all production activities within a chemical manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role oversees a team of 12 production employees and is accountable for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 12 production personnel, including operators, technicians, and supervisors.

Monitor production schedules and coordinate resources to ensure on-time delivery of products.

Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and chemical industry standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization.

Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to support plant performance goals.

Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions to address operational issues and improve results.

Manage staffing, performance evaluations, training programs, and employee development plans.

Lead investigations of safety incidents, quality deviations, and production downtime events.

Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for plant leadership.
Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within the chemical or process manufacturing industry.

Proven experience leading production teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of process safety management, quality systems, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency with manufacturing systems, production planning, and performance metrics.
