Responsibilities
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with students’ academic goals and curriculum standards
- Deliver engaging online or in-person tutoring sessions across subjects such as science, mathematics, English language arts, and test preparation (e.g., SAT)
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust lesson plans accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student participation and confidence
- Communicate effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, including early childhood education and adult learners
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching in classroom settings or one-on-one environments
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for various educational levels
- Familiarity with online instruction platforms and digital learning tools
- Experience working with children, including preschool or early childhood education settings, is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional methods based on individual learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages
- Prior experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those requiring special education support is a plus
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
