Transport Aide Responsibilities
Safely transport patients throughout the facility using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other equipment as needed
Assist patients with walking, transfers, and ambulation to maintain their independence and mobility
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient needs are met and provide updates on patient progress
Maintain accurate records of patient care and transportation, observing HIPAA guidelines
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices and facility policies
Transport Aide Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment up to 50 pounds, as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
