Oven Tender - 2nd Shift
Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt/Hourly
Joy-Mark, Inc. is a manufacturing facility located in Cudahy, WI. We use automated vacuum forming and mixing processes to produce a wide variety of custom made foundry feeding aids and insulating metal handling products.
We are looking for someone to join our team as an Oven Tender on 2nd shift. Our 2nd shift hours are 3p-11p, M-F.
Pay range begins at $17/hour depending on experience, plus a $0.50/hr shift premium.
Production:
- Separate and palletize all product coming off the oven(s)
- Inspect and palletize all finished product and stage for packaging process
- Troubleshoot, train, and assist when issues arise
- Ensure production continues to deliver maximum output at the highest quality
- Help to ensure objectives and goals are communicated and met daily
- Stage correct pallets in oven area
- Turn oven and conveyor belt on and check periodically that the oven is at optimal temperature
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Assist with tray building for machine operator(s)
- Identify defects and report them to supervisor(s)
- Assist with labeling and wrapping finished product for inventory as necessary
- Ensure safe use of equipment by following safety procedures
- Maintain any equipment used at the oven and notify applicable personnel of any issues
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines
- Responsible for helping production supervisor hit required numbers
- Follow proper quality control procedures, and report any deviation from procedures
- Guarantee manufacturing remains smooth and efficient
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience
- Self-starter and focused
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Must have technical capacity and the ability to use a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must have ethical conduct and a good attitude
- Driven by results and takes initiative
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Regular and consistent attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependable transportation
