Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. The process engineer role ensures the development, execution, control and continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure all job start activities for new and revised processes within the manufacturing facility which include tool and process development, meet established quality and timing requirements.
2. Responsible for validation of new and or revised processes in the production lines.
3. Development and documentation of process control methods and instructions.
4. Continuously investigates for new and improved equipment or processes in support of the organization’s continuous improvement processes.
5. Participate in quoting, feasibility study, and development of new processes and products.
6. Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, including feasibility studies and development of related documentation
7. Assist in PPAP submissions.
8. Participation in internal audit activities, when required.
9. Review and react to process/manufacturing reporting metrics and participate in continuous improvement activities relating to this area.
10. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality system.
11. Identify and record any problems to the product, process and quality system.
12. Participate in training and orientation of new employees, when required.
13. Adhere to all required safety guidelines and report hazards or violations.
14. Miscellaneous duties as required by manager.
15. Ensure that all accidents and injuries are promptly reported.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Understand customer (internal and external) requirements and how this job can contribute to meeting the requirements of Global.
2. Be familiar with Environmental Policy and significant
3. Become aware of how this job affects EMS objectives and targets at Global.
4. Engineering Degree or equivalent area training.
5. Understanding of profile extrusion, fabrication and related processes.
6. Understanding of advanced quality planning tools and methodology, including flow charts, control plans, FMEA’s and process control instructions.
7. Basic understanding of SPC and process capability studies, and gauging requirements.
8. Basic understanding of process and production methods and related instructions.
9. Basic understanding of testing and inspection methods.
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual English/Spanish.
11. Be familiar with IATF16949, EMS, and Quality Management System Awareness requirements pertaining to job.
Physical Requirements
1. Be able to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
2. Lift, carry, push and pull with requirements that can range from 25 to 50 lbs.
3. Physical stamina and endurance to perform the job well.
4. Strong body movement, with lower back and core strength.
5. Move materials without issues or damage to self and property.
6. The ability to stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
7. Normal vision for inspecting material and product.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
