Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them in their shopping experience, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. As a key member of our retail team, you will contribute to achieving sales goals while maintaining a positive shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and recommend products.
- Utilize effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling, to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and store policies.
- Perform cash handling duties accurately, including processing transactions and managing the cash register.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items and encourage purchases.
- Ensure shelves are stocked and organized according to company standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and inviting store environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Ability to upsell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
- Experience supervising or training new staff is a plus.
- Familiarity with cigar retail operations is beneficial but not required.
- Proficient in product demos to effectively showcase merchandise.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for stock management.
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply. This is a cigar smoking environment. Mostly Weekends.
