Summary
We are seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our dedicated team at Triniti. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to enhance the well-being of our patients by contributing to their comfort as they face end of life challenges.
1. Certified Massage Therapist in good standing
2. Hospice experience preferred
Accountable To:
Social Work Manager
Primary Objective:
Complement the work of the hospice team by providing massage therapy to hospice patients and their families according to the hospice patient’s plan of care.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Adaptable to a wide variety of changing situations
- Computer knowledgeable with keyboarding skills necessary to perform clinical charting on an electronic device
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently to accomplish workload in the allotted time.
- High degree of professionalism when working with staff, clients and public
- Understands and supports the hospice philosophy
- Able to work on terminally ill clients with compassion and understanding and their family members
- Attends staff meetings and educational programs as required

Essential Duties:
- Attendance and reliability for undisrupted care to patients
- Assesses patients for appropriate medical indication for service and performs assessment to determine effectiveness of therapy.
- Directs and assists patients through massage therapy interventions to assist with alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
- Utilizes interventions such as comfort touch and compressions.
- Documents clearly and concisely clinical notes, charting, coordination notes, which will be incorporated into the patient’s clinical record.
- Provides timely and ongoing education to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
· Provides companion visits as directed by the IDG team. Companion care can include the following: Activities-games, arts, crafts, sewing, puzzles, sports, Paint/trim nails, Style hair, Social meaningful conversation, Go on walk/ wheelchair ride, Assist in contacting family or friends via phone call or zoom, Listen to favorite music, Read to client- books, mail, cards, bible, magazine’s, Just being present if family cannot be there/ need to step away, Small chores/ organization, Assist with food and beverage. This companion visit does not include hands-on care such as transfers, toileting, assisted ambulation, or bathing.

Reliable Transportation Necessary
Work Environment:
1. Requires daily travel by automobile in all weather conditions
2. Occasional exposure to unsanitary conditions during course of home visits including pets, family members and smokers.
Physical Demands:
The job involves prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, driving and repetitive use of hands, fingers and wrists. Lifting requirement is up to 25lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
