Overview:
We are seeking a talented and reliable Full-Time Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and passionate about crafting clean, crisp floral designs while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to handle fast-paced periods—especially during holidays and peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality floral designs, including everyday arrangements, funeral sprays, sympathy pieces, and large-scale arrangements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting walk-in customers and taking phone orders accurately and courteously.
- Work with wired-in floral orders from Teleflora and FTD; knowledge of budgeting and using the appropriate amount of stems per order, as well as substituting when necessary.
- Manage daily orders, ensuring timely creation, organization, and fulfillment.
- Maintain expert-level care of fresh flowers, including proper handling, conditioning, and storage of all varieties.
- Keep the design area clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Work quickly, efficiently, and with attention to detail; Ability to create an arrangement in no more than 20 minutes.
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and seasonal preparations.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy seasons or special events.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of floral design experience and/or training.
- Strong design aesthetic with an excellent eye for clean, crisp, and balanced arrangements.
- Experience creating funeral sprays and large arrangements.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience handling both phone and in-store orders.
- Expert knowledge of floral care and proper handling of all flower varieties.
- Ability to manage orders efficiently, multitask, and stay organized.
- Reliable, honest, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
