Job Details:
The Imaging Support Associate provides administrative, clerical, and patient support services to ensure the efficient operation of the Radiology Department. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, physicians, and staff by coordinating scheduling, maintaining patient records, supporting imaging workflows, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Welcome patients and visitors while providing courteous, professional customer service.

Escort patients to imaging exam areas as needed and assist with basic exam preparation, including gowning or clothing changes when appropriate.

Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls and messages to the appropriate staff members.

Communicate with physician offices regarding scheduling, patient information, and other departmental needs.

Schedule imaging appointments across all Radiology modalities in accordance with departmental protocols.

Perform general clerical duties, including filing, preparing documentation, appointment confirmation, and data entry.

Maintain accurate and organized patient records.

Scan and verify patient documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).

Retrieve, print, and fax imaging reports from EPIC for physicians, patients, and authorized legal requests.

Import imaging studies and create image discs for patients and referring providers.

Collect applicable fees for legal and medical record requests.

Complete patient registration, collect copayments, and assist with general front desk operations.

Assist patients with questions and coordinate support for a positive patient experience.

Retrieve and distribute supplies throughout the Radiology Department and hospital as needed.

Distribute patient paperwork to the appropriate clinical and administrative areas.

Participate in departmental quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or professional office environment.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably EPIC.

Prior experience with patient registration, scheduling, or medical office operations.
Posted Salary Range: USD $23.39 - USD $35.09 /Hr. :
