Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance durability, and ensure high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and repairing as needed to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate painting methods and materials for each project.
- Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to access different work areas at various heights.
- Conduct surface testing such as visual color comparison and coating thickness measurements to meet project standards.
- Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as fixture installation, stucco application, and remodeling touch-ups as part of comprehensive construction or renovation projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques specific to construction sites.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with color theory for accurate color matching and visual consistency across surfaces.
- Ability to operate various tools including brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (airless or conventional), caulking guns, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience with structural painting tasks such as stucco or industrial coating applications is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection use and adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application work.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coverage areas, and material estimates.
- Prior experience in residential painting, commercial projects, or industrial coating applications is highly valued.
- Additional handyman or remodeling experience will be considered an asset for versatile project support.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
