Gastro Surgi Center of New Jersey is looking for a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ambulatory surgery team.
We are hiring for a Full-Time or Part-Time position with a consistent, set weekly schedule.
Schedule
- Full-Time: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts OR Part-Time: 3 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Set days each week
Position
The RN will work in Pre-Op, OR/Procedure Room, and PACU and will be trained in our facility's workflow and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
- Starting IVs and administering medications as ordered
- Assisting with patient care in the OR/procedure room
- Monitoring patients during recovery in PACU
- Assessing vital signs, airway, pain, and readiness for discharge
- Providing discharge instructions and patient education
- Completing accurate nursing documentation
- Working closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and technicians
- Following infection-control and patient-safety standards
Requirements
- Current New Jersey RN license
- Current BLS certification ,ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute or procedural clinical setting is required
- Experience limited to nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, or physician offices does not meet the minimum experience requirement for this position
- Endoscopy, OR, PACU, Pre-Op, or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong IV skills preferred
- Must be reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
