About the Role
As a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming raw materials into high-precision components that meet rigorous industry standards. You will leverage your technical expertise in metal forming and assembly to drive production efficiency while ensuring every part meets exact engineering specifications.
Responsibilities-
Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to execute precise fabrication layouts.

Operate and calibrate heavy machinery, including press brakes, shears, and punch presses, to achieve optimal production outcomes.

Perform critical assembly tasks such as riveting, fastening, and countersinking to ensure structural integrity.

Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensional accuracy against strict tolerances.

Proactively identify and communicate potential design or fabrication discrepancies to engineering teams to prevent production delays.

Maintain a high-standard, organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols and quality management systems.

Document production progress and job-specific data to ensure traceability and operational transparency.
Qualifications-
Proven experience in precision metal fabrication or a related manufacturing environment.

Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints.

Demonstrated ability to set up and operate various sheet metal machinery including roll formers and stamping presses.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Solid understanding of bend allowances, material properties, and fabrication best practices.

Basic computer literacy with the ability to adapt to internal production software.

Prior experience working within an AS9100 or aerospace manufacturing environment.

Formal vocational training or certification in metalworking or machine operation.

Experience with progressive die stamping or complex metal forming techniques.

Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
