The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and support our commitment to high-quality, comfortable patient care. This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on clinical work, thrives in a supportive environment, and wants to grow with a new, technology-driven office.
Schedule: Full-time, Mondays and Thursdays, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Compensation: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications (with potential for increases as the practice continues to grow)
Start Date: August 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
- Take and process digital dental X-rays
- Perform infection control procedures and maintain strict sterilization protocols
- Provide patient education on postoperative care and oral hygiene
- Take impressions, pour models, and perform basic lab tasks as needed
- Manage inventory of supplies and maintain equipment
- Support smooth patient flow by preparing charts and updating records in Open Dental
Required Qualifications:
- Current California X-ray (Radiation Safety) certification
- At least 2 years of dental assisting experience OR completion of a dental assisting program
- Familiarity with Open Dental software (preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
