Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience and promote ongoing sales.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate the guest experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed while minimizing waste.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; perform basic math calculations for change and sales reconciliation.
- Collaborate with bar management and team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail mixing techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and craft beer trends.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order entry and cash handling.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Experience in food handling, food safety procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management.
- Previous bar management or catering experience is a plus but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential.
