Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who combines strong clinical skills with outstanding patient service. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, technologically proficient, and comfortable working closely with a physician in a concierge medicine setting.
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Update medication lists and medical histories
- Perform EKGs, injections, vaccinations, and phlebotomy
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with office procedures
- Manage laboratory specimens and coordinate diagnostic testing
- Maintain clinical supplies and vaccine inventory
- Assist with preventive care tracking and patient follow-up
Administrative Duties
- Answer patient calls and coordinate scheduling
- Manage patient communications through the EMR and patient portal
- Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests
- Coordinate specialty appointments and follow-up care
- Assist with membership onboarding and renewals
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Patient Experience
- Deliver exceptional white-glove customer service
- Build strong relationships with patients and families
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient requests
- Ensure a seamless concierge medicine experience
Qualifications
Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of outpatient physician office experience
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred
- Internal medicine, family medicine, or concierge medicine experience
- Athenahealth EMR experience
- Experience coordinating specialty care referrals
- CPR/BLS certification
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
