What You'll Do
As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll create a welcoming, engaging classroom where children feel confident, curious, and excited to learn every day.
Your responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily learning experiences
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Encourage creativity, independence, and positive peer relationships
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication
- Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and collaboration
- Maintain classroom organization while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Montana licensing requirements
- Partner with center leadership to deliver high-quality early childhood education
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Preschool Teacher or Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare or early learning program
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Experience planning and implementing preschool curriculum
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Positive, dependable, and collaborative leadership style
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to complete all required Montana licensing, training, and background check requirements
