Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate Christian principles and values.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes safety, respect, and positive behavior management.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that support childhood development milestones, including literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Support children with special educational needs through early intervention strategies and individualized lesson planning.
- Manage classroom routines effectively to ensure smooth transitions and foster independence among preschool-aged students.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs with clarity and compassion.
- Incorporate teaching physical education, music, art, and Bible lessons to nurture well-rounded development in a faith-based setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting, preferably within a preschool or private school environment.
- · Able to pass an initial and later follow-up Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) background check and subsequent background checks.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development methods, including ABeka or other early childhood educational philosophies.
- Experience with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community members.
- Ability to plan lessons aligned with standardized testing standards while fostering creativity and spiritual growth.
- Certification or a degree in early childhood education or a related field is highly preferred; child discipleship training is a plus. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
