Duties
- Lead the development and execution of innovative menus that highlight fine dining standards and cater to diverse dietary needs.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control and food production processes to optimize resources, minimize waste, and maintain cost efficiency.
- Oversee all food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail in service quality and timing.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, professional growth, and high morale through effective leadership.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operation during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Collaborate with the hospitality team to ensure seamless integration of food service with overall guest experience.
- Implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while controlling costs.
- Lead the training of staff on food handling procedures, culinary techniques, and safety standards to uphold excellence in food management.
Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining experience.
- Extensive culinary background with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of dietary department operations and catering services is highly desirable.
- Experience with inventory control systems and food safety regulations is essential.
- Background in banquet service or large-scale event catering is a plus.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management, food service management, and customer relations.
