Job Opening: Janitor / Test Driver
We are looking for a reliable Janitor / Test Driver to join our team at a busy truck and equipment repair shop.
This position is responsible for helping keep the shop, yard, and office areas clean and organized, as well as test driving customer vehicles after repairs are completed. The right person must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to follow directions without needing to be babysat every five minutes.
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain shop, office, restroom, and yard areas
- Sweep floors, empty trash, pick up rags, and keep work areas organized
- Help maintain a clean and safe shop environment
- Move vehicles and equipment around the yard as needed
- Test drive customer vehicles after repairs
- Report any issues, warning lights, noises, leaks, or drivability concerns found during test drives
- Assist with basic shop support duties as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain professional behavior with customers, vendors, and coworkers
Requirements
- Must have a valid CDL
- Must have manual transmission endorsement
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to safely operate trucks and equipment
- Must be dependable and show up on time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Must be able to lift, bend, walk, and be on your feet throughout the day
- Must be willing to clean and help wherever needed
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
Pay
- Pay depends on experience and qualifications.
