- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
- Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Manage medical records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy, update patient files, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred, especially within general or pediatric dentistry environments.
- Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy enhances your ability to deliver precise patient care.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix will streamline patient documentation and record management.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, enabling you to confidently care for young patients in a friendly manner.
