Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
- Stay up-to-date with current educational practices and trends
Skills:
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Familiarity with daycare or childcare settings
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and create a positive learning environment
- Excellent behavior management skills
- Understanding of special education needs in early childhood
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing personality
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) required with in 30 days of hiring
- Previous experience working with children (preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check - child abuse registery and criminal history check - required
