Join ShowPhaze and Help Drive Large-Scale Event Production Across North America
ShowPhaze is a family-owned company specializing in labor management and workforce solutions for corporate events, conferences, trade shows, and live productions throughout North America. We are steadily growing and are looking to bolster our team.
Our reputation has been built on one simple principle: providing clients with highly qualified technicians who are fully vetted and capable of performing the roles they’re booked for. Whether it’s a large-scale General Session, a breakout-heavy conference, an exhibit floor installation, or a permanent AV integration project, our clients trust us to deliver skilled professionals who can execute at a high level.
As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a full-time Operations Manager to help lead our team and ensure we continue delivering the level of service that has made ShowPhaze a trusted partner throughout the industry.
About the Role
The Operations Manager plays a central role in keeping the company moving.
This position oversees operational quality, client communication, workforce coordination, and administrative accuracy across multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with our leadership team, labor coordinators, crew leads, clients, and technicians to ensure every project is staffed correctly, executed professionally, and completed successfully.
While some onsite event management is required, much of the day-to-day field leadership can be delegated to experienced Crew Leads. Your responsibility is to ensure the entire system functions effectively and maintains ShowPhaze standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee labor operations throughout North America
- Maintain direct communication with clients and production teams
- Ensure accuracy of estimates, time sheets, payroll records, and invoices (much of which is automated)
- Utilize and improve workflows within our proprietary scheduling and operations platform
- Vet technicians for Audio, Video, Lighting, and related production roles
- Evaluate both set/strike labor and operator-level candidates
- Delegate responsibilities to Labor Coordinators while maintaining accountability and quality standards
- Support onsite management of large-scale productions when required
- Monitor project progress and proactively solve operational challenges
- Maintain the high level of service and professionalism that clients expect from ShowPhaze

This is a hybrid position that combines office, remote, and on-site event work.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Work remotely for administrative, planning, and coordination responsibilities.
- Be present at the ShowPhaze office approximately 20% of the time for meetings, training, collaboration, and operational needs.
- Travel regularly to event venues, client locations, and show sites throughout the United States to support live event operations.
- Be comfortable working in fast-paced event environments and be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel as required by the event schedule.
Travel is an essential function of this role, and candidates should be willing and able to travel frequently based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in live event production
- Working knowledge of Audio, Video, Lighting, and general event operations
- Experience staffing or managing production crews
- Established technician network is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
- Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of outcomes
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on execution and accountability
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn’t measured solely by data and schedules.
It’s seeing a large production come together successfully because the right people were placed in the right positions.
It’s knowing technicians are getting paid accurately and on time for their hard work.
It’s hearing appreciation from clients because the crew delivered exactly what was promised.
It’s building long-term relationships that create opportunities for both our clients and our workforce.
The live event industry has countless moving parts, changing schedules, and unexpected challenges. Staying ahead of those details is essential.
