Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop construction drawings with Revit for all phases of a project.
- Develop specifications in SpecsIntact and MS Word per MasterFormat.
- Develop in Revit rendered models for presentations.
- Review cost estimates and construction schedules.
- Assist in construction administration.
- Supervise and assign work to Architects, Architectural Interns, BIM/CAD technicians and Designers.
- Provides/assists with performance reviews for staff under their supervision.
- Provide leadership for small-to-large-sized new construction or renovation projects.
- Represent CEMS at meetings, conferences, or professional associations.
- Facilitate workshops, design partnering, project meetings and charrettes, serve as Charrette Leader.
- Serve as Sr Technical Review Specialist for architectural discipline.
- Lead and mentor junior architectural staff with all aspects of project design and delivery.
- Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Architecture from an NAAB accredited University, Master’s preferred.
- NCARB Certified with ability to get reciprocity in multiple states.
- Have a working knowledge in developing BIM models on a variety of building and occupancy types in the latest release of Revit on Auto Desk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Relevant experience with current releases of AutoCAD, MS office Suite, MS Word, Excel, Windows 11, and Bluebeam Revu.
- 15-20 years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects beyond initial licensure.
- Ability to pass a background check in pursuit of obtaining access onto military bases.
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stay.
- Ability to produce a complete set of architectural construction documents.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Ability to perform tasks independently and in a logical and timely manner.
- Strong verbal, written and graphical communication skills.
- Ability to see the big picture as well as focus on the details.
- Desire to learn, accept direction, be mentored, and build relationships.
- Have a strong work ethic and be able to handle multiple deadlines.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Desired, but not required Qualifications:
- Experience in the U.S. Armed Services and or experience working on commercial military (DoD/DoW) projects on military bases.
- Relevant experience with current releases of Adobe InDesign, MS Project, MS Teams, 3D Studio Max, and Navisworks.
- Prior construction administration (CA) experience.
- Experience with GSA, Healthcare, architectural preservation, and or laboratory and healthcare projects.
