Competitive Swim Instructor $18-$25 per hour
The YO JING Swim Academy is accepting applications for Swim Instructors for weekend and weekday group lessons. Ideal candidates would be fun-loving, reliable individuals who love working with kids and are willing to learn.
Who we are:**
YO JING Swim Academy was founded in April 2010 by Chinese National Swim Team coach, Coach Yi. YO JING has established 8 swimming training bases in China since 2010. By 2018, it has trained tens of thousands of swimmers and students.
In 2018, Coach Yi brought her advanced training skills, scientific management methods, and professional coach team to Houston, TX to serve local communities. YO JING established Katy, HBU, Sugar Land schools in the Greater Houston Area in less than one year. YO JING is dedicated to fostering the sport of competitive swimming and other aquatic activities in Greater Houston Area. YO JING is proudly collaborating with Katy ISD, Cypress ISD, Houston Baptist University, Swim Houston, and 24 Hour Fitness.
What you will do:**
- Teach swimming skills, water safety skills/methods to students/participants of various levels as young as 5 years old to 16 years old and provide evaluations to participants
- Each class is 60 mins long and you will teach different levels during your shift
- You will wear a swimsuit, YO JING T-shirt and flip flops to work

Applicants must Meet the Following:**
- 5 years of competitive swimming experience or 1years of experience as a swim instructor (Required)
- Minimum 16 years of age
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent(Required)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Certification of CPR, AED and First Aid American Red Cross or Ellis and Associate(Preferred)
- ASCA Level 1-3 Certification or higher (Preferred)
- Work authorization:United States (Required)
Physical Requirements:**
- Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday
- Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily
- Ability to be in water for long periods during the day
