Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Regional Accounts Receivable (AR) Resource specializing in Skilled Nursing and Billing Operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of healthcare billing processes across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with medical billing regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance third-party billing standards. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional billing teams to ensure accurate and timely medical billing and collections across skilled nursing facilities.
- Oversee compliance with all medical billing regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance policies.
- Monitor and improve hospital revenue cycle processes from patient registration through final account resolution.
- Ensure proper medical coding, including ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding, to facilitate accurate reimbursement.
- Utilize billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems to track claims, payments, and denials efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and optimize revenue recovery efforts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and implement best practices across the regional team.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical billing regulations compliance, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and data analysis purposes.
- Experience with various billing software platforms used in healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of healthcare billing management, insurance third-party billing, and revenue cycle management principles.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation.
- Expertise in medical coding, including ICD coding standards for accurate claim submission.
- Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership within a hospital or healthcare revenue cycle environment.
- Excellent understanding of health insurance policies and claims processing procedures.
