Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is seeking candidates for the position of Restaurant Host/Hostess. This is the first employee to interact with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant. It is the job of the hostess to greet arriving guests, welcome them into the establishment and seat them in a friendly, professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of special catch and soups.
- Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.
- Takes names on a waiting list.
- Runs the floor plan board; maintain and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
- Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
- Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
- Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
- Answers phone for booking reservations and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
- Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
- Fills to-go orders, if applicable.
- Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
- Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Have knowledge of all hotel and resort operations and services so guest questions can be accurately answered.
- Perform opening and closing duties. Assist others with side work to include cleaning, stocking, and folding napkins.

- Minimum of one year restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – English language
