CDL Yard Driver – Job Details
Location: Frankfort, KY
Shift Times: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the CDL Yard Driver Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Yard Driver to support yard operations in Frankfort, KY. This role is responsible for safely moving trailers and containers within the yard using a specialized yard tractor.
This position is ideal for someone with strong driving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a specialized yard tractor to move containers and trailers within the facility yard
- Safely position trailers for loading and unloading
- Follow all company safety guidelines and DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and shipping personnel
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical concerns
- Performing general work in the lumber yard
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
- Previous yard driving or tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Previous Lumber Yard, farming, or Agriculture experience preferred
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
