Position Overview: As a Maintenance Mechanic at Pacific Vial Manufacturing Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting our production goals by ensuring that all machinery and facility equipment operate efficiently and safely. This hands-on position involves performing a wide range of tasks, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in line with our safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and facility equipment to minimize downtime and support production goals.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks based on equipment manufacturer guidelines and internal schedules (including one Saturday per month).
- Respond promptly to production line calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues to restore operational efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues using standard diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE use, and required safety training.
- Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to execute repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment commonly used in industrial maintenance, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic meters.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate findings or potential issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Assist with installation and commissioning new equipment and modifications to existing systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
- Support a team-oriented environment and provide guidance or training to junior team members when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment as required. (One Saturday a month required)
Participates in daily meetings and reports maintenance department objectives and opportunities.
- Independently performs all assignments after being given general instructions as to the results expected.

Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with different departments.
Education:
- Associate's degree in industrial maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or related field or experience preferred
- Licenses and/or certificates of a professional education or training platform specializing in mechanical engineering.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
