Production Technician — Good Feels

Position Summary
This is a hands on production role. As a Production Technician at Good Feels Inc., you will be responsible for the precise manufacturing of our cannabis tincture line, the #1 tinctures in Massachusetts. You will work directly on the production floor preparing materials, weighing and measuring distillate, executing batch formulations, operating bottling equipment, and tracking everything through METRC to keep us in full compliance with the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission and food safety standards.
The right person for this role is, above all, dependable. We need someone who shows up on time every shift, executes consistently, and can be counted on without follow up. You are detail oriented, comfortable with physical labor, and take pride in doing things the right way every time. You will be on your feet for full shifts, lifting and moving materials, sanitizing equipment, and following SOPs precisely. Consistency, accuracy, and a strong sense of ownership over your work area are what make this role successful. As Good Feels Inc. grows its product line, you will also have the opportunity to cross train on new processes and contribute to launches of new SKUs.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Prepare bottles, caps, labels, and packaging materials for tincture bottling runs
- Weigh and measure ingredients, including cannabis distillate, for bulk tincture production
- Calculate batch formulations using provided recipes and calculators
- Operate production machinery and bottling equipment
- Follow standardized production procedures to ensure consistent product quality across every batch
- Support development and production of new product lines as the business expands
Quality and Compliance
- Maintain compliance with all food safety guidelines, GMP standards, and Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations
- Accurately track inventory and product movement in METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) and Distru
- Document all production activities and maintain complete, accurate batch records
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and escalate any issues
Equipment and Facility Management
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain production equipment according to SOPs
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Keep work areas organized, sanitary, and inspection ready at all times
- Support inventory operations including cycle counts, receiving, and order fulfillment
Safety and Communication
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the Formula Manager promptly
- Communicate with team members to coordinate production schedules and handoffs
- Participate in ongoing training on procedures, equipment, and regulations
Additional Responsibilities
- Cross train on other production tasks as needed to support team coverage
- Adapt to changing production priorities and batch schedules
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and efficiency gains
Qualifications
- Cannabis production experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience in manufacturing, food and beverage production, or a similar regulated production environment
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with basic math, measurement, and batch calculations
- Ability to follow written SOPs precisely and document work accurately
- Experience with METRC, Distru, or similar seed to sale tracking software is a plus
- Exceptional dependability. Punctual, consistent, and reliable shift after shift
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must pass a background check. Good Feels Inc. will sponsor and cover all required Massachusetts cannabis agent registrations and handling permits
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and hold over the head 50 to 75 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods throughout a full shift
- Comfort with manual labor in a production environment, including moving boxes, drums, and packaging materials
- Ability to work in an environment with the smells, temperatures, and conditions typical of cannabis manufacturing
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle bottles, caps, droppers, and small components with precision
Compensation and Benefits
- $44,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience
