Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and introduce daily specials to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist with food safety and sanitation practices, including proper food handling, cleaning tables, and maintaining a tidy service area
- Support beverage service with cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine recommendations, and drink presentation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs proactively
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink service techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
