American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) travel assignment in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of current acute care PICU experience and active BLS and PALS certifications.

Located in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a Level II Trauma hospital
-
15-bed unit staffed with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, RNs, respiratory therapists, desk techs, dietary, and case management
-
Patient ratio of 2:1

Uses general cardiac/respiratory (CR) monitoring equipment
-
EMR: Meditech/CPN
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

13-week contract

Active RN license — Kansas or Compact state license required

Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PICU RN experience

A US SSN and DOB are required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements

CRRT experience is preferred
-
APHON certification is preferred

Pediatric teaching hospital experience is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
