The Baruch College Early Learning Center (ELC) is seeking a full-timeassistant Teacher to work closely with a teaching team in a toddler classroom.
preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Education college courses and classroom experience in an early childhood setting with toddlers and/or preschool aged children. Candidates must be warm, supportive of very young children and responsive to their needs, as well as a hard-working and organized team player.
The assistant teacher works closely with lead and other assistant teachers to implement the daily operations of the classroom.
Core responsibilities include:
- Daily thoughtful interaction with children and their families
- Assist with the development and implementation of responsive and meaningful curriculum
- Assist in maintaining a safe (NYCDOHMH regulated), aesthetically pleasing, culturally and developmentally responsive classroom environment
- Involvement in on-going professional development initiatives; including staff meetings, NYCDOHMH required health and safety trainings and maintaining current and relevant knowledge of early education and perspectives
- Assist with all aspects of classroom maintenance

Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm, or 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday

Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
