Overview
We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated healthcare professionals to provide quality care and support to clients in the comfort of their homes throughout Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties.
Duties
- Monitor and observe patients closely to assess their health status and respond promptly to changes.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation.
- Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature readings.
- Provide specialized care such as catheter management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice support.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients with medical procedures like wound care, medication administration, and end-of-life care in accordance with home healthcare regulations.
- Employ patient transfer methods safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks including laundry and meal preparation when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure understanding of care plans and foster trustful relationships.
Experience
- Prior experience working in home healthcare settings or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient observation, medical terminology, and documentation practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols including first aid and basic life support (CPR).
- Familiarity with home health agency operations, hospice care procedures, and long-term care environments.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment effectively.
- Proven track record of maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record-keeping is advantageous.
