Job Summary: Responsible for shaping and adjusting boots to include finish work, clean up, dying and polishing of boots.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leather work and finish work.
· General manufacturing tasks.
· Safely operate assigned equipment such as hammers, heat guns, and knives.
· Proficiently use a tape measure to determine sizes of different areas of boots.
· Self motivated, able to stay on task with little or no supervision.
· Communicate effectively with owner and manager and be willing to accept and implement constructive criticism with effective corrective action and improvement to product flow.
· Training will be provided
Qualifications:
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Must have mathematical skills to add and subtract fractions.
· Should have knowledge of/or ability to use and read a tape measure, hammer, and other various hand tools.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
· Must have acceptable attendance, this requires the employee to report to work on time and work each scheduled shift with minimal absences or issues
